Government Degree College, Thatyur (Distt. Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand) is a State Government College, established in the year 2009 with an objective of providing quality higher education to the students of Jaunpur block, Tehsil Dhanolti, which is a State declared OBC region of Uttarakhand.

The college has a remote geographical locale and it is situated in the foothills of lesser Himalayas. The college caters the educational needs of 33 villages located in its periphery. The college is affiliated to Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University and has sanctioned Art and Science faculties.

At present, the college holds affiliation in ten subjects of Arts (English, Hindi, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, History, Sanskrit, Geography, Home Science and Economics) and BSc (PCM and ZBC group) and PG in HINDI, SOCIOLOGY and POLITICAL SCIENCE.

There are 418 students enrolled in the session 2017-18.
